six years ago, husband and wife duo embarked on their journey that would become Kris Hawaiʻi. Both born and raised in Hawai’i, Kris and Kalaʻe draw upon their upbringing to create meaningful pieces that reflect the beauty and culture of their island home. Together, they blend Kris’s creativity with Kalaʻe’s precision, and attention to detail, infusing every piece with passion and purpose. Their journey is a reflection of their shared love for art and dedication to bringing beauty and meaning into everything they do.

Born and raised on the island of Kauaʻi, Kris Pūnua’s passion for art began at a very young age. After years of immersing herself in the world of art, honing her skills and refining her artistic vision— she emerged as the artist and visionary behind Kris Hawaiʻi.

As a mother of two girls, her ʻohana (family) holds a special place in her heart and serves as the foundation of her creative journey. Her work is fueled by love and the deep connection she feels to her island home.

Through clean lines and sun-soaked, earthy tones, Kris’s art brings flowers, plants, and women to life. Kris Hawaiʻi is far more than a brand— it is a reflection of who she is, where she comes from, and the love she pours into everything she creates.
